Hi friends and family! I finally decided to start my own blog. Because it is the end of the year, I would like to share my highlights of the year 2008. There might be a lot of pictures, but here it goes...

Last January, my siblings and I made this blanket for my mom who was fighting ovarian cancer. She finished chemo in April and is still clean. We have been very blessed!

Our family started off the year with a snowshoeing adventure! Yes, we had all 11 family members on the same trail!

In January, I went with my dad to Nashville, TN to help him market his business at a dental conference. My favorite part was seeing Garth Brooks live!!

In June, I ran the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay. My 11 teammates and I rotated running through the night to run 180 miles. Here is the team after we finally finished and myself at one of the handoff exchanges.

I went through the Denver, Colorado temple with my parents in June.

My sister Lindsay married Kris Nielsen in June. Before the big day all the Anderson girls went to get pedicures. Here we are lounging in our chairs.

My sister Jennie and I took a tour through Israel in July. Here we are after our 14 hour flight and standing by the BYU Jerusalem Center with Jerusalem in the background. I learned so much about Israel's political, historical, and religious history.

On the way back from Israel, I decided to stop in D.C. for a few days to visit my sister Jennie, her husband Scott, and their little girl Kate. Here we are in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

Another running race- the Utah Marathon Relay. Surprisingly, our team actually placed.

Hiking Mt. Timpanogos with some friends. This picture was taken at the top. And yes, we slid down that glacier.

Another hike through the Narrows in Zion National Park.

I started my 3rd year teaching 1st grade at Salem Elementary. There are 20 students in my class this year and they are really great kids. This picture is on our field trip to a pumpkin patch where they all got to pick their own pumpkin.

Hermoine from Harry Potter for Halloween. My class loved it!

Home for the Holidays! Over Thanksgiving break my family decided to be adventurous and cut down our own Christmas tree in the mountains. I thought maybe a Charlie Brown tree might do, but the fam decided on this one.

I had to put this running race in- the Nutcracker 5k. Every participant had to wear tutus. As you can see we are all better runners than dancers.

Lastly, the last week I have been at home in Colorado for the holidays. Here are all the kids on Christmas Eve this year. We had a German Christmas complete with schnitzel, sauerkraut, German chocolate, and my dad singing silent night with the guitar in German.

My cute niece Kate dancing after receiving her instruments for Christmas.
